FAQ
7 Big-Picture Questions:
- It’s a service that can prevent death during a medical emergency.
- It will reach a victim in LESS than 5 minutes, MUCH BEFORE any Ambulance can.
- It will maintain the victim’s blood circulation and oxygen supply.
- It can restore the hearts normal rhythm. Survival chances can increase by 100% – 200%.
- It is a professional service offered on a ‘for-profit’ basis.
- It operates on a monthly subscription model.
- It is offered only to pre-registered clients.
PLEASE NOTE – The word ‘can’ has been used to mean, ‘has the potential to’. It should not be misunderstood to mean, ‘will’ or ‘with certainty’.
- During a medical emergency, we either call and await an Ambulance OR we rush the victim to the closest hospital.
- In either case, the victim receives ZERO life-saving aid during these CRITICAL but WASTED first few minutes.
- AVAILABILITY or the ABSENCE of Basic Life Support can make the difference between life and death.
- Distance to/from hospital and Traffic conditions, will GUARANTEE a Minimum Time Delay.
- The current @Home-Emergency Care delivery model suffers Minimum Time Delays EVERY TIME
- This means – a victim may not receive life-saving aid IN TIME, in certain emergencies. Ex: Cardiac Arrest
The current system is, therefore, TRAGICALLY INADEQUATE.

This picture shows the ‘CHAIN OF SURVIVAL‘ – A series of steps that are taken to increase the chances of survival for someone who is experiencing cardiac arrest. It is also the general sequence followed in many/most medical emergencies with/without Link no.3 -Rapid defibrillation- being involved.
TODAY, for the overwhelming majority of us at home,
steps 2 and 3 are UNAVAILABLE WHEN REQUIRED THE MOST
There exists a CRITICAL GAP in our medical emergency help delivery model today, in Hyderabad and across India.
It is an UNREALISED and CRITICAL VULNERABILITY that HAS to be resolved.
A SOLUTION EXISTS!

Avoid helplessness, loss, pain and regret.
- Unlike an Ambulance, we are NOT a service that is made available to anyone and everyone. Our service is available solely to our clients. Our clients are those who have expressed their intention to be protected by the service and have already entered into an agreement with us.
- We provide a team, that has been hired, B.L.S. certified, custom trained exclusively for a specific community and stationed INSIDE the community premises. During a medical emergency (or a potential emergency) the team is to be contacted on their mobile number
- a S.O.S. number dedicated to that community alone.
- The team will react instantly to reach the victim in the least possible time.
- Once by the victim’s side, situation specific protocols will commence.
- Option 1 – SINGLE Community EXCLUSIVE Service: Approximately (~) Rs. 53,000 OR Rs.92,000 , per month – a gated community, a specific neighborhood or any specific building or venue. This is the monthly charge (inclusive of GST*) for 1 individual OR a 2-person team of the service.
- The community can purchase, own and provide the A.E.D. (Refer Q.17 under ‘The Details’ list of questions) device required, to the team. The standard and quality of A.E.D.s we will recommend and like to work with are those with F.D.A. approvals, C.E. Certification etc and a good worldwide reputation. Expect to pay around Rs. 1.5 lakh (price as of Jan.’25) for a high-quality unit. Apart from this one-time purchase price, there will be a recurring cost of ownership in replacing the battery of the AED (~Rs.2,600 as of Jan.’25) every 3-4 years and in replacing the one-time use pad after use during an Emergency. These can cost anywhere from ~Rs.23,000 for the advanced pad to ~Rs. 7000 for the standard pad (as of Jan.’25). This will be an expense incurred only if an emergency occurs which necessitates its use. Otherwise, it needs replacement only every 2 or 5 years depending on whether it is the standard or the advanced pad. These prices and replacement period estimates are based on information related to the ZOLL AED Plus AED which we deem appropriate for a community. Please note that these AED devices are available from multiple companies both with and without international certifications. The prices may even be as low as Rs.50,000. * GST – Incase we are not subject to GST and/or any other service related taxes, we will issue an interest-free refund of the GST component charged. Excluding GST, our charges work out to ~Rs. 45,000 OR ~Rs.78,000 per month.
- So, total cost to the community = Purchase price of an AED device (One time expense) + Garudian Service (Reccuring Monthly expense) + AED Pad and battery replacement (Recurring expense -when required)
- Option 2 –SHARED SERVICE: Two or more adjacent/neighbouring communities can together hire a single team and benefit from the same protection BUT at a friendlier per home/community price by sharing the charges! The price charged remains the same irrespective of the no. of homes covered. But the price paid by each home/community will decrease. Example: Community 1 has 242 flats. Community 2 has 379 flats. Together they have 621 flats. The price for the service remains the same as in Option 1. However, the price paid per flat will now be much lesser than if they had opted for Option 1.
- Say both the communities had hired the service, individually, with a 2 man team with Option 1; Community 1 would have paid Rs. 95,000 / 242 = Rs.393 (Rs. 323 without GST) per month, per flat. Similarly, Community 2 would have paid Rs.95,000 / 379 = Rs.251(Rs. 206 without GST) per month, per flat. Now, by opting to share the same team-Option 2- their per flat monthly cost will work out to Rs.95,000 / 621 = just Rs.153 (Rs.126 without GST).
- So, total charge components incurred by the community = The same as for Option 1 but with actual outgo, per community, being lesser than in option 1.
- Please note that this option can be provided even for MORE THAN 2 communities, PROVIDED every flat in all the communities can be reached within our promised arrival time.
- Option 3 – COMMUNITY OWNED TEAM: The community can maintain its own team, which is trained and ready to offer the same Basic Life Support (B.L.S. – Refer Q.15 under ‘The Details’) Service as offered by the GARUDIAN SERVICE. This works out to be a cheaper option for the community. The Garudian Service can help set up the operation and ensure you have a team you can depend on. The price will depend on the specifics of the assistance the community requires. We will charge a one-time fee of Rs. 45,000 for custom training the hired individual(s) in the specifics of being ready to operate effectively in the said community. This charge is for 37 visits – each for a duration of ~ 1.5 hrs – spread over a period of 3 months. Should the Community see wisdom in continuous practice and preparation AFTER the completion of the training period, we offer a ‘2 visits a month Readiness Maintenance‘ option for Rs.3250 a month. Each visit will be for a duration of 1.5 hrs. Whether as a one- time option or on a recurring basis, the charge is the same.
- The community will bear the B.L.S. training and certification charges of the hired individual(s). The price for the training and certification is quite nominal. Last we checked (2023-24), it was around Rs.3000 per person at E.M.R.I. .We highly recommend that we be employed to take care of this component to ensure that the employees have made the most of their training. Attending the training and being certified is one thing while fully comprehending the B.L.S training and being ready to put it to use, is something entirely different. The GARUDIAN SERVICE will charge a service fee of Rs.3750 apart from actuals incurred for transportation.* EMRI (Emergency Management and Research Institute) Green Health Services (formerly known as GVK EMRI) is the provider of the 108 Ambulance service and is an American Heart Association certified training and certification partner for B.L.S.
- So, total cost to the community = Purchase price of an AED device (One-time expense) + B.L.S. Training & Certification (Recurring expense – every 2 years) + GARUDIAN SERVICE’s Certification Supervision fee (Optional – one-time / every 2 years) + Salary of Community Employed First-Responder(s) (Monthly Expense) + GARUDIAN SERVICE ‘s training fee (Optional and One time) + GARUDIAN SERVICE’s Readiness maintenance (Optional and Monthly or whenever required by community) + AED Pad and battery replacement when required.
- Option 4 – HYBRID: COMMUNITY OWNED & SHARED TEAM: A combination of Option 2 and Option 3. The most cost-effective protection!
- So, total charge components incurred by the community = The same as for Option 3 but with actual outgo, per community, being lesser than in Option 2.
- Before we explain why, we wish to make clear what the quoted price pays for. It pays for the privilege of having:
- TWO (2) or one Certified First-Responder(s), equipped with an A.E.D. ; and ON-STANDBY, WITHIN the client community compound, for NINE (9) hours a day and for at least 5 days in a week.
- This can be at ANY pre-agreed time slot – DAY or NIGHT.
- This is an exclusive and unique service, similar to what ONLY VVIP’s in India enjoy today! However, since it’s a SHARED EXPENSE, the cost per family/home works out to something friendly.
- FOR EXAMPLE: Say 273 flats in a community. Assume the price is Rs.92,000 – this works out to 92000 / 273 = ~Rs.337 (Rs.286 without GST) per flat, per month.
- Two medium size POP CORN packs probably COST MORE at leading Multiplex theatres in Hyderabad.
- Now we explain the ‘WHY’: Our primary recurring expense is the monthly salary to our team. The service should be able to offer an attractive package to enable hiring, training, periodic re-training and retention of quality individuals.
- Medical equipment and devices, especially those with international certifications, are high-cost items with high rates of price-inflation and usually requiring periodic replacement.
- All the tools required by the team to perform B.L.S. will be made available. We aim to be able to afford advanced training equipment that can simulate emergencies and thereby provide our team a first-class state of READINESS. (This is our intention and not a promise). We also aim to ensure that no other expenditure need be incurred by you (except for the AED pad replacement) …. even after an emergency incident, after which, we may have to replace certain used equipment.
- Developing a First-Class Military Grade like operation and maintaining a high minimum standard is a resource intensive endeavor.
- This is an extraordinary service that is made possible only when the community as a whole, comes together to recognise and benefit from the limitless value made available.
- Aren’t our lives worth paying a few hundred rupees for? Please think about this!

Steps 1,2, and 3 of the 5 steps in the ‘Chain of Survival’ diagram depicted, are either absent or performed by lay-people today. We offer steps 1, 2 and 3 at home – IMMEDIATE EMS Activation, High-Quality CPR and RAPID Defibrillation, on arrival in LESS THAN 5 minutes of intimation.
We believe we maybe the pioneers in:
- Providing a professional community specific M.E. First-Responder Service as a paid service, in Hyderabad
- We also believe that we maybe the pioneers in working to make the First Responder service an economically viable self-sustaining operation.
- We probably are Hyderabad’s and even INDIA’s first and only such operation.
- By proving that there is an unfulfilled demand in this field, we hope to inspire more innovation and entrepreneurship in EMS in India.
- We strive for Professionalism that will earn us your trust, affection and respect.
- What we provide you is something only those holding high –office in the Government of India enjoy today – Immediate medical aid. They have a well-equipped Ambulance with highly trained staff following their every move.
- Unless your community has something similar on standby, the GARUDIAN SERVICE is your best bet. The least possible ‘incident-to-arrival time’ is our goal.
- Think about it…what is it that we actually offer? Is it real LIFE INSURANCE? Is it TIME, when you’re running out of it? Or is it LIFE itself?
- When a Medical Emergency strikes at home and you find yourself in a helpless situation, with a loved one slowly slipping away, all you can do is pray.
- The GARUDIAN SERVICE hopes to be the answer to that prayer.
We are the GARUDIAN SERVICE
The Details:
No, it is available only to pre-existing clients; and only during the pre-agreed period of the day/night.
No.
- No, Even though, technically speaking, we provide pre-hospital treatment, as per the generally understood meaning of EMS, we are NOT an EMS provider.
- EMS providers provide urgent pre-hospital treatment and stabilization for serious illness & injuries and transport, via an ambulance, to a health care facility.
- Example: The 108 Emergency call no. and Ambulance service, provided by EMRI GREEN HEALTH SERVICES (Formerly known as GVK EMRI). Ambulances are the primary vehicles for delivering EMS.
We are a Medical Emergency First-Responder Service.
The first trained person to arrive on the scene, recognise the emergency, activate the EMS system and provide life-saving first-aid using minimal equipment. He/She basically tries to keep the victim alive and prevent further deterioration till an Ambulance arrives or if necessary, till the victim reaches a hospital.
- Some health emergencies require life-saving medical aid to start almost immediately to ensure survival or to atleast prevent permanent organ damage.
- Ambulances, no matter how fast, will take some time to get to you.
- Distance and traffic will ensure that the victim gets no help for a certain duration. This duration is critical.
This is when/where the First-Responder comes to the rescue!
- Yes, we do. But they are limited in terms of numbers, availability or ability.
- For all practical purposes, for a medical emergency at home, they are mostly unavailable or too late to arrive.
- The Govt. of Telangana has started training field-level workers from various departments in C.P.R. Many instances of Traffic police in Hyderabad having saved lives have been reported in the press. EMRI GREEN HEALTH SERVICES launched their two-wheeler Ambulance service years ago. This basically acts as a First Responder Service.
The Govt. trained workers cannot come to your rescue at home or whenever required. And please remember, they are not health care professionals. EMRI Green Health Services’ two-wheeler First-Responder, though faster than an Ambulance, will also be slowed down by distance and traffic.
- Mere minutes and even seconds matter in a medical emergency.
- Here is where the GARUDIAN SERVICE helps.
- We are UNAFFECTED by distance and traffic.
- We will, therefore, ALWAYS be the FIRST TO ARRIVE.
- We will be by your side in LESS than FIVE (5) minutes.
- This is the GARUDIAN SERVICE’s PLEDGE.
No.
We are a professional service provided by MYTRY EMS Innovations LLP – a Hyderabad (Telangana), based business enterprise – on a ‘for-profit’ basis.
During a medical emergency (or a potential emergency) the team is to be contacted on their mobile number- a S.O.S. number dedicated to that community alone.
- The team will react instantly to reach the victim in the least possible time.
- Once by the victim’s side, situation specific protocols will commence.
- The team will stay with the victim till: All is deemed normal and stable for the victim, with no need for more advanced intervention found, OR Ambulance personnel take over; OR The victim reaches the Emergency Room of a hospital.
Two reasons:
a. Operational: Our reason for existence, our aim and our pledge is to reach a victim in less than 5 minutes from intimation. This can be achieved ONLY IF our team is stationed ‘ON-SITE’, i.e. within the compound of the community we are protecting or at least somewhere in very close proximity.
This is the only way in which a ‘LESS THAN 5 minutes’ arrival time can be GUARANTEED.
b. Financial: Our mode of operation provides a trained and certified team of First-Responders and an A.E.D., both dedicated exclusively to providing protection solely to the client they have been assigned to.
This kind of resource allocation and ‘on-stand-by’ service is an expensive operation that is made viable only when the client can sustain it through a monthly payment.
Therefore, considering both point a. and b., it is unviable and impractical, if not impossible, to provide the service to all members of the general public and especially on a ‘when-required’ basis’.
Yes, it is!

The GARUDIAN SERVICE‘s First Responders will be trained and certified in the Basic Life Support (B.L.S.) program and certification offered by the American Heart Association (A.H.A.)
- These are a set of skills to provide on-the-spot medical aid in a cardiopulmonary emergency, breathing emergencies, and a few other critical emergencies for adults and children.
- Using C.P.R. and an A.E.D., B.L.S. reduces the chances of death or organ damage and increases survival outcomes.
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (C.P.R.) is a lifesaving technique that’s useful in many emergencies in which someone’s breathing or heartbeat has stopped. It is an important part of intensive care medicine, anesthesiology, trauma surgery, and emergency medicine .
- CPR involves a combination of chest compressions and rescue breaths to keep oxygen-rich blood flowing to the brain and other organs until emergency medical treatment can restore a typical heart rhythm.
- Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D.) – It is a portable electronic medical device which automatically diagnoses life threatening irregularities in the heart rhythm and treats them by the application of an electric shock. This is called defibrillation and it corrects certain irregular and dangerous rhythms of the heart.
- A.E.D.’s can help those suffering a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (S.C.A.). When used in conjunction with C.P.R., an AED can increase the survival chances of someone suffering a cardiac arrest.
- In fact, if used within the first 4 – 6 minutes of a cardiac arrest, it can increase the chances of survival considerably.
- It is estimated that a victim’s (of S.C.A.) survival chances reduce by 10% for every minute’s delay in starting CPR and AED use.
- Around 5 minutes after the onset of S.C.A., and with no medical intervention started, the victim is already at a ‘50/50 chance of survival’ stage!
- This is why the GARUDIAN SERVICE’s ability to reach you IN LESS than 5 minutes is critical.!
Yes.
Until recently, A.E.D.’s were available in India only in a few public places. Certain aircraft, airports, five-star hotels and in a few other places. Today, we should be happy to note that A.E.D.s, though not a common sight yet, are available at a few traffic junctions in Hyderabad. Please note that it is an expensive device because of which, NOT EVERY ambulance is equipped with it!
No.
We are an independent service in that we have no formal connection, tie-up or endorsement from/by any institution(s) or individual(s) from the medical field. Our founder is neither a medical professional nor is he connected to the medical field/fraternity in any manner, as of today.
He is, however, certified in BLS and has had multiple first-hand experiences of a medical emergency at home. Recognizing the critical absence (mostly) of the First Responder in the ‘Chain of Survival‘ in Hyderabad, he seeks to provide the same benefit his family enjoys – of having a trained BLS provider, armed with an AED, readily available – to all.
