Bringing Life, back
Bringing Life, back
To reduce the number of preventable deaths in Hyderabad.
By providing carefully selected, rigorously trained, well-compensated and highly motivated personnel, we strive to be Hyderabad’s most respected and trusted
Medical Emergency First-Responder provider.
We are the GARUDIAN SERVICE.
The founder has no prior association with the medical field either in terms of education, qualification or profession. He is a layman [with a father and a father-in-law, both 87 years old(as on Oct 14th 2023) and a mother and mother-in-law, both 71+ years old(as on Oct 14th 2023)], but one with an uncommon interest in being prepared for situations…
…that don’t necessarily have to end with negative outcomes.
He has been a part of three semi-emergency medical situations and a full blown emergency in April 2020 during the Covid shutdown. This Covid time emergency was the first time he got to actually put to use his C.P.R. training and A.E.D. machine. The victim’s breathing and blood circulation were functioning normally and the problem was related to something beyond his B.L.S. training and certification. So, unfortunately, there was nothing much he could do except to keep close watch and then finally to rush her to the closest Emergency Room. (Ambulances were either unavailable or didn’t show up as per the mentioned E.T.A.)
She passed away a few days later. The victim was a close family friend who also happened to be a co-resident of the same Apartment complex our founder resides in. The valuable lessons learnt from these experiences have now been put to use to offer the GARUDIAN SERVICE.

In the year 2002, our founder’s father underwent a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery (C.A.B.G.S.), commonly called a ‘bypass surgery’(of the heart).
Fortunately, it was an eventless hospital walk-in which ended with a planned and successful surgery. A good outcome. However, the dread of having been and continuing to be unprepared for an emergency, kept troubling our founder, Mr. Arjun udayakumar.
A few years later, he got himself trained and certified in Basic Life Support (B.L.S.). He also invested in an Automated External Defibrillator (A.E.D.). This is an electronic machine that diagnoses and treats certain life-threatening irregularities in the heart by re-establishing an effective rhythm. (Please refer to Q.’s 15,16 and 17 in the Q.&A. section for more on B.L.S. and A.E.D.)
Eventually, another few years later, the idea of offering a similar privilege – of having an A.E.D. armed and B.L.S. trained individual available nearby — to the wider community blossomed. Realising the twin benefits of doing something of significance and the potential to make a sustainable living off it, prompted our founder to offer the GARUDIAN SERVICE, July 2023 onwards.
A professional team of trained and certified Basic Life Support personnel will reach the victim‘s home within 4 mins. 59 secs. They will quickly assess the victim and the situation and decide on the next course of correct action.
The victim will start receiving Basic Life Support that will reduce chances of death or permanent organ damage and thereby improve survival outcomes.
This team will serve exclusively to protect the community to which it is assigned.
Educate yourself and your community in:
– Early detection of potential life-threatening medical emergencies
– What to do next… And how to do it correctly
– Usefulness of getting trained in Basic Life Support
– Benefits of a community dedicated Professional First-Responder Service
Today, by the time a victim of a life-threatening medical emergency at home, receives help, it could be too late.
The CRUCIAL time period BEFORE the Ambulance arrives or BEFORE the victim reaches the hospital is CRITICAL to survival chances.
Often, it is the NON-availability of trained help, delayed response times or mediocre quality of treatment received during this time,
which leads to a death that could have been PREVENTED.
Receiving help within the first 7 minutes of intimation,
is unlikely, for most of us.
